Why a Club?

A club of all things. So old-fashioned. So "ultra-conservative."

You're absolutely right!

We would have preferred a different legal form, but in Germany, a club is a very sensible way to bring many people together. This form is even promoted under certain conditions, and as a registered club, we can accept donations.

But again: Why a Club?

Because we want to be transparent. Well, we like to have money, but this isn't about business or making a profit. We see ourselves as a social service with an honorable mission: we want to connect people, bring generations together, provide orientation for young people, educate, and discuss.

Sure, this could also be done with a social network funded by ads, making you transparent for all kinds of purposes, right?

Sure, or with a club funded by small contributions, donations, or grants. We need money to cover ongoing costs or for events where everyone can participate. And here, advertising is only for "other members" of the club, meaning mutual promotion.

The Advantages

The club structure offers many advantages that we understand better once we look behind the scenes.

We are registered with the tax office, must disclose our finances, and can't technically "earn" money. Funds must be reinvested, for example, in expanding the club, financing events, and reducing fees as membership grows.

We can create "trainer" contracts for temporary support in website maintenance, platform building, video creation, teaching, etc. Those skilled in these areas could be paid. The more we grow, the cheaper it gets for everyone, and the more benefits there are for all.

We hold biannual member meetings where everyone can participate, vote, decide, and contribute ideas. We elect topic sponsors / Category responsibles and make decisions together. We have bylaws reviewed by a notary and filed with the tax office, making us legally capable. As a club, we can act differently than individuals. As a legal entity for all members.

We also have an internal communication app through KURABU. Once you're in, you'll see how great it is.

Our Goals

Quite simply: Networking!

Harness the power of the community to bring people together and foster dialogue. We need more conversation, not just anonymous comments, and maybe even some debates.

We want to guide those without direction, help young people and job starters find employment, and connect generations. This can be challenging, sometimes polarizing, but also eye-opening. Tolerating different opinions is a skill, sometimes difficult, but seeing the impact of a change in perspective is crucial.

We stand by this. We want this. And we want you to join us.
